Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) is responsible for connecting customers to the gas network. They don't supply your gas. You will need a gas supplier to supply and bill you for your gas.
Apply for a new Gas Connection
Not every household or business can connect to the gas network. The first thing to do is check to see if you can connect to the network. You can do this using your Eircode or address on the Gas Networks Ireland website.
Finding a Gas Supplier
Gas Networks Ireland don't supply your gas. You will need to choose a gas supplier during the gas connection process. You can choose a gas supplier from our list of energy suppliers.
Cost to connect
Gas connection costs depend on a number of factors. The costs involved could be higher if you are further from a gas network line. You can find out more about these costs and request a quote by contacting Gas Networks Ireland on 1800 464 464.
Connection guarantees
The Commission for Regulations of Utilities (CRU) has approved a number of guarantees about gas connections.

- the compensation you get if they fail to deliver on their guarantees
