Enduring Connection Policy 2.4 (ECP-2.4)
The CRU has published a Decision Paper on the Enduring Connection Policy 2.4 (ECP-2.4).
This paper provides policy updates between the closing of the ECP-2.3 batch window in September 2022 and the CRU’s upcoming development and decision on the next stages of the connection policy.
This decision continues to prioritise renewable generation projects, facilitate connections of ‘shovel ready’ projects, and assist community-led renewable energy projects to get a connection offer.
In general, decisions detailed in the ECP-2 Decision Paper (CRU/20/060) will continue to apply for ECP-2.4, based on the rationale given in that Decision Paper. Changes from ECP-2 are detailed in the Decision Paper.
Annex 1 to the Decision Paper sets out the considerations for the next stages of connection policy, including the need to align with policy developments.
