On 21st February 2002, the CRU published a consultation paper on Tariff Application Rules, which will apply to Irish Water’s non-domestic customers under the Non-Domestic Tariff Framework.
The CRU published its decision on Irish Water’s Non-Domestic Tariff Framework (CRU/19/074) on 3 July 2019. This Framework sets out the new tariff rates which will apply to Irish Water’s non-domestic water and wastewater connections from 1 May 2020. The purpose of this consultation paper is to present proposals for specific tariff application rules that will apply to the new Framework and to garner views on same from the public and interested parties. Irish Water has submitted proposals to the CRU regarding each of these tariff application rules, and the CRU has proposed amendments to these proposals which it considers beneficial.
The tariff application rules concern two broad areas:
- Rules for assigning a connection to a tariff class; and
- Rules to address the granting of non-domestic leak allowances.
In addition to the publication of the CRU’s Consultation Paper, the CRU is also publishing Irish Water’s Tariff Application Rules submission document.
