The CRU has today, 29th March 2021, published a Clarification and Call for Evidence on Secondary fuel obligations on licenced generation capacity in the Republic of Ireland. The paper aims to clarify the application of the obligation to certain new situations.
The CRU is also seeking evidence on the appropriateness and future potential for modifying the current approach in relation to certain scenarios, and more generally for new gas generation considering the future electricity system.
Responses should be sent to Lucy Cradden (email@example.com) by 17.00 on 7th May 2021. Information received in response to the Call for Evidence questions will inform future reviews of the Secondary Fuel Obligation.
