The CER has today, 30th September, published a Decision Paper on amendments to the Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) Connections Policy.
The Gas Networks Ireland Connections Policy has been in place, largely unchanged, since 2006. In light of recent market changes, a pattern of falling aggregate gas demand and feedback from customers, GNI, facilitated by the CER, undertook an assessment of the Connections Policy. Stemming from this review, in December 2014, GNI proposed a number of initiatives to facilitate further efficient utilisation of the gas network.
Following a consultation period, the CER is now publishing a Decision Paper on the proposals submitted by GNI. For ease of reference, the updated V4 Connections Policy, a summary of responses received, and a track changed V4 Connections Policy is published in tandem with the CER’s Decision Paper.
