Electricity Network Tariff Structure Review Phase 1

The CRU’s Electricity Network Tariff Structure Review (ENTSR) is the first review of electricity network use of system tariff structures in Ireland (transmission and distribution) since the introduction of the existing structure in 2000.

Further to the publication of the Summary of Responses to the Calls for Evidence in 2021 and 2025, in the second half of September the CRU will publish a consultation on its minded-to positions on the objectives, principles and scope for the ENTSR.

The consultation paper will also include discussion regarding high-level electricity network use of system tariff design options for stakeholder consideration and input. The consultation will remain open for a period of four weeks.

The CRU thanks stakeholders for their engagement with the ENTSR thus far and looks forward to responses to the consultation at a time of increased focus on network tariff structures, both nationally and an EU level.
