Water Connection Charging Policy

Consultation Open

The CRU has today, 22nd October 2018, published its proposed decision on Irish Water’s enduring Connection Charging Policy. The proposed decision will be open for 4 weeks for comment until Monday 19th November 2018.

In January 2018, the CRU published a consultation paper on Irish Water’s proposed Connection Charging Policy which impacted any customer wishing to connect to the public water and / or wastewater network. The current regime of charging customers for connections is changing and the consultation included proposals by Irish Water on a new charging mechanism. The level of service customers can expect from Irish Water relating to their new connection will also change from that which is currently available.
