The CRU has today, 3 July 2019, published its decision on Irish Water’s Non-Domestic Tariff Framework which will apply to Irish Water’s non-domestic customers. The purpose of the Framework is to generate a harmonised suite of tariffs for non-domestic water and wastewater customers. A more harmonised approach will benefit Irish Water’s customers in terms of transparency, simplicity and equity.
This decision follows a 5-week public consultation on the CRU’s Proposed Decision on Irish Water’s Non-Domestic Tariff Framework, from 15 April 2019 to 20 May 2019. The CRU received 14 responses from a wide range of stakeholders and interested parties. After careful consideration of the comments received and stakeholder engagement, the CRU has come to a decision on the Tariff Framework and associated non-domestic tariff rates.
In addition to the publication of the CRU’s Decision Paper, the CRU is also publishing a Response Paper which summarises the comments received to the CRU’s Proposed Decision Paper (CRU/19/042) and provides a CRU’s response, Irish Water’s Customer Information Paper and each of the non-confidential responses received to the consultation.
The new non-domestic tariffs will be implemented (and applied to customer’s bills) on 01 May 2020. Until that date, Irish Water’s will continue to apply the existing non-domestic tariffs which were in place on 31 December 2013.
