Review of the Accreditation Framework for Price Comparison Websites Consultation
We have published a consultation on the Price Comparison Website Accreditation Framework Review.

Price Comparison Websites (PCWs) are useful tools designed to assist customers in navigating the offers available in the retail market. PCWs communicate important information on the types of tariffs available and the costs associated with each.
The CRU’s PCW Accreditation framework provides a voluntary accreditation process whereby PCWs can become accredited by the CRU, provided they adhere to the principles of the framework.
Due to the legislative and retail market developments that have taken place since the last update of the framework in 2019, the CRU considers it appropriate to review the accreditation process. This consultation paper outlines proposals for a revised version of the PCW framework.
The CRU is seeking views from PCWs, suppliers, consumer interest groups, members of the public and all other interested parties regarding all aspects of the revised version of the framework and to provide feedback on these proposals.
Responses should be submitted via the consultation platform by the close of business on Friday, 4th July 2025.
