The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) has today, 8 February 2022, published guidance to electricity suppliers:
Guidance to Electricity Suppliers on implementation aspects of Interim Clean Export Guarantee
This note provides guidance to electricity suppliers on the implementation of interim arrangements to ensure that renewables self-consumers (which includes customers with microgeneration installed) are paid, at market rates, for the surplus electricity which they export to the grid.
The Guidance Note and responses to the consultation on the Interim Clean Export Guarantee are published alongside the decision paper (CRU21131), as published on 1 December 2021.
