Safety Regulation of piped LPG distribution networks that are not operated by a licensed LPG undertaking
The CRU has on 21 September 2022, following a period of public consultation, published a Decision Paper (CRU202288) on how the CRU proposes to fund its safety regulatory activities for Class 2 LPG distribution network operators, which will be under the CRU’s regulatory remit once legislation is amended. The CRU has decided to proceed with its preferred approach of charging a one-off application fee of €200.
This group also contains two key documents for Class 2 LPG distribution network operators:
- The Operator Handbook (CRU202212a) – outlines the safety obligations required to operate a piped LPG distribution network and is part of the Class 2 LPG Safety Licence.
- The class 2 LPG Safety Licence (CRU202212b) outlines the Licensees responsibilities to operate a piped LPG distribution network.
