The CRU on, 20 September 2022, published letters it issued to EirGrid and ESB Networks, specifying the threshold de-rating factor to be applied for the purposes of the grid connection directions previously issued in respect of the T-4 Capacity Auction for 2026/27, and published on 27 June 2022.

The CRU on, 27 June 2022, published letters which it issued to EirGrid and ESB Networks, directing them to give a grid connection offer to any applicant located in the Ireland Level 1 Locational Capacity Constraint Area, that is successful in the T-4 Capacity Auction for 2026/27, taking into account certain requirements and considerations.

These letters are being issued by the CRU given the possible shortfall of capacity in Ireland in 2026 and 2027 that is outlined in the Generation Capacity Statement 2021-30.
