The CRU today, 1st July 2022, publishes a further Water Connection Policy update. This is in relation to Irish Water’s progress in developing an Accreditation Scheme for Self-Lay in the Public Road. Self-lay in the public road refers to the installation of water and wastewater infrastructure outside the boundary of a development. The Accreditation Scheme will facilitate experienced contractors in becoming accredited to deliver new water services infrastructure in public roads for housing developers.
