If you experience an issue with a publicly accessible CNG refuelling station that relates to the following:

  • CNG dispensing nozzle
  • CNG labelling
  • Poor CNG service pressure from dispenser (e.g. the dispenser struggles to fill the vehicle fully)
  • CNG quality concerns

you should contact the forecourt operator in the first instance and inform them of the issue.

If you are not happy with the forecourt operator’s response, you should log a formal complaint with the CRU Customer Care Team.

We will investigate the complaint provided it falls within the CRU’s remit with respect to the applicable regulations [European Union (Deployment of Alternative Fuels Infrastructure) (No. 2) Regulations 2018, S.I. No. 647 of 2018], http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2018/si/647/made/en/print. Please note that the CRU’s remit includes publicly accessible CNG refuelling stations only.

To make a complaint, please fill out the CNG Refuelling Point Complaint Form and send to customercare@cru.ie.

If following investigation, the CRU upholds your complaint, we will agree a plan with the forecourt operator to rectify it.

Please take note that CRU does not have the legal authority to require compensation be paid to any party as a result of a complaint in relation to CNG refuelling points.
