The CRU has today, 31st Aug 2020, published a consultation paper on Gas Network Ireland’s (GNI) draft Ten-year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) 2019. The draft TYNDP 2019 has been prepared in accordance with condition 11 of the Transmission System Operator and Distribution System Operator licences and relevant Statutory and European requirements. The draft TYNDP provides a view of how the gas network may develop over a ten-year period. It is based on current supply and demand for gas, as well as projections for growth in gas consumption and development of infrastructure. The purpose of this paper is to seek comment from any interested party on GNI’s draft TYNDP covering the period 2018/19 – 2027/28.
